The Jacksonville Jaguars should be even better in 2023.

After an impressive 2022 season that saw them go from worst to first in the AFC South, they are playing with expectations next season.

Not only are the Jags expected to win the South again, but they should make a playoff run.

Head coach Doug Pederson and quarterback Trevor Lawrence are the two key cogs in their turnaround.

Pederson helped maximize Lawrence and allowed him to show the skills that made him the first overall pick.

But another reason the Jaguars were successful was because of their skilled players.

Lawrence had a great group of pass catchers to throw the ball to.

Including Christian Kirk, Evan Engram, and Zay Jones.

Also, they have a very good running back in Travis Etienne.

But, this group just got stronger with the most recent reinstatement by the NFL.

Wide receiver Calvin Ridley has been fully reinstated by the NFL.

Ridley was an under-the-radar trade acquisition by the Jaguars last season.

He was suspended all of last year, yet the Jags traded for him anyway at the trade deadline.

The Jaguars’ offense is going to be a serious problem for teams around the league.

And now we can officially plan on this offense for the Jaguars in 2023:

QB: Trevor Lawrence
RB: Travis Etienne
WR: Calvin Ridley
WR: Christian Kirk
WR: Zay Jones
TE: Evan Engram

The expectation for the Jags in 2023 is to win the division again.

But, they should also be looking to have playoff success.

In their wild-card game last year they overcame a 27-0 deficit to defeat the Los Angeles Chargers.

This whole team should take a massive step forward in the second year under Pederson.

Expect to see the Jags as a major player in the AFC playoff picture.
