The drama of the NFL offseason is starting to pick up.
One of the top storylines that everyone is following is what is going to happen with Aaron Rodgers.
The Green Bay Packers quarterback has yet to announce his plans for the upcoming season.
He could either return to Green Bay, retire, or ask for a trade.
Well, it appears that the Packers would be okay with trading Rodgers to a new team.
According to Fox Sports, the Packers have granted permission for Rodgers to speak with the New York Jets.

The Packers said that if they traded Rodgers that they wanted it to be to an AFC team.
The Jets seem like a reasonable destination for both parties.
New York struck out in their pursuit of quarterback Derek Carr, so they might be looking to go all-in on Rodgers.
But some Packers fans are not ready to see Rodgers in a new uniform.
. Never thought I’d possibly see rodgers in another green jersey that isn’t GB

One thing the Jets have going for them is that they have a bunch of young talent on offense.
Some of their best players are Breece Hall, reigning offensive rookie of the year Garrett Wilson, and Elijah Moore.

Also, the Jets have a very good, young defense.
Led by reigning defensive rookie of the year Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams.
One interesting thing is how Rodgers’ career is turning out similar to Brett Favre’s.
Favre was traded from the Packers to the Jets, and now it looks like the same thing might happen to Rodgers.

There is a lot to sort out in a potential deal between the Packers and Jets.
But, the fact that Green Bay granted the Jets permission is a good sign something might happen.
