NFL Analyst Reveals How Teams Should Be Approaching The Lamar Jackson Situation

Lamar Jackson knows his worth; every NFL team knows his worth; everybody on Earth seems to know his worth… Except for the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens have lowballed him for over a year now, and he’s made it quite clear that he’s not going to take a cent less guaranteed than what the actual quarterback market calls for.

So, with the Ravens likely using the franchise tag on him — whether it’s the non-exclusive or exclusive – NFL analyst Ryan Clark believes other teams should be doing their due diligence on the former MVP.

In fact, Clark believes that every single QB-needy team should be on a plane to South Florida to try and work out a deal with Lamar Jackson as we speak:

“People should be hopping on private jets to go to South Florida and just be in front of Lamar Jackson,” Clark said on Get Up. “What is more important right now than Lamar Jackson?”

The Ravens clearly don’t trust Jackson to stay healthy for the long run, and they have been either unable or unwilling to surround him with the weapons he needs to succeed.

So, if they don’t want to pay the guy, why not make the most of his value while they still can and let him go somewhere he’s actually valued and respected?

Jackson is one of the best QBs in the league, a dual-threat guy like few others we’ve seen, and a player who’d made plenty of teams go from borderline-playoff teams to legit and actual contenders.

He’s not to blame for Deshaun Watson’s or Kyler Murray’s contract, but if that’s what other guys are getting, why should he settle for any less than that?

Just pay the man, or let him go.
