Lamar Jackson has endured a bumpy road with the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens have yet to sign Jackson to a long-term extension, despite undergoing conversations for more than a year.

Recent reporting out of the Ravens camp is that they would like to place the franchise tag on Jackson, a move that has been heavily scrutinized.

After this reporting, Jackson has been potentially linked to another team that many are considering a great fit for him.

Would the Atlanta Falcons be a good landing spot for Jackson?

In 2022, the Falcons finished the season with a 7-10 record, which was tied for second place in their division.

They struggled at the quarterback position, going between Marcus Mariota and Desmond Ridder.

Ridder was drafted in 2022 but hasn’t been the most consistent player up to this point.

If the Falcons are in the market for a quarterback, they have enough weapons to make it worth the while for an incoming free agent.

Kyle Pitts and Drake London each have early first-round draft capital and have been heavily underutilized thus far within the Falcons offense.

Tyler Allgeier is an up-and-coming running back and could be a great complement alongside Jackson if he ended up with the Falcons.

With the announcement of Tom Brady’s retirement, the NFC South is seemingly up for grabs.

Jackson could help grow the Falcons offense, both in the passing and rushing games as well.

Will he be allowed to seek employment elsewhere, knowing that a franchise tag is potentially looming overhead?
