DeMeco Ryans was named as the head coach of the Houston Texans during the 2023 offseason.

Ryans was a primary target for many teams, but he ultimately took the job with the Texans.

In his first few weeks with the team, the Texans have expressed that he has fit right into their locker room, and he appears to be building a strong culture already.

A large part of Ryans’ blending in with the team is his relationship with Nick Caserio.

In an article written by NFL reporter Aaron Wilson, when asked about his relationship with Caserio, Ryans said: “It’s been awesome working with Nick, we hit the ground running.”

The Texans finished the 2022 season with a 3-13-1 record, which resulted in the team having the second overall pick in April’s draft.

Due to their trade of Deshaun Watson to the Cleveland Browns, the Texans also have the 12th overall pick.

These are premium picks and will be used to help rebuild the Texans’ franchise.

The Texans are in the market for a new quarterback, something that the organization has struggled with post-Watson.

Davis Mills hasn’t been the answer for them, and will likely turn into a blue-chip rookie prospect.

Thankfully for the Texans, there are several marquee options at the position that will be available to them.

Because of their fast-formed working relationship, Ryans and Caserio can dive into each prospect, working together to figure out who will be the best fit for the organization.

A new quarterback is a step in the right direction for the Texans, especially considering that Trevor Lawrence is in their division.
