Jets Insider Shares The Plan For Mike White

The New York Jets need to make some roster changes this offseason.

One of the first places they will be looking to upgrade is quarterback.

As of right now, it appears like Zach Wilson will be their starting quarterback in 2023.

If they are looking to contend, Wilson is not the guy for the job.

But, the Jets have their eye on an unrestricted free-agent quarterback who was with them last season.

That is Mike White.

White started four games for the Jets last season, and despite his 1-3 record, he had the respect of the team.

While White is not the long-term answer in New York, he can be a solid bridge player.

But, it appears the Jets will be looking for a bigger name to be their signal caller.

New York has already expressed interest in free agent Derek Carr.

He would be an immediate upgrade at quarterback and put the Jets back in playoff contention.

But, if Carr chooses to go elsewhere, the other option is Aaron Rodgers.

The Packers quarterback has not yet decided what he wants to do for the 2023 season.

But, Green Bay should be ready to move on from him.

Rodgers is set to enter his age-40 season, and he could try to make a run with the Jets for a few seasons.

The Jets have a good roster and plenty of impressive young wide receivers.

New York should be looking to make a splash at quarterback.

But, if they go into the season with White as the starter, they better draft a rookie with a high pick.
