Their head coaching situation was no longer a disaster, and Trevor Lawrence began to find his footing as an NFL starter.
With this organizational growth in mind, the front office made a move in order to continue to bolster their offense.

Nick Holz has been hired as the Jaguars’ newest passing game coordinator.
This comes on the heels of Jim Bob Cooter’s recent exit.
Holz comes to the Jaguars from UNLV, where he spent one season as their offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Prior to that, Holz worked for the Las Vegas Raiders for ten seasons and was a primary reason for Derek Carr’s success.
With a quarterback like Lawrence at the helm, Holz should have no problem getting this team in line.
The Jaguars won their first playoff game in 2022 before falling to the Kansas City Chiefs, who went on to win the Super Bowl.
As an organization, the Jaguars have cleaned up their act and will look to move forward with confidence.
The team signed Calvin Ridley last year, adding to their already impressive wide-receiving corps.
If the Jaguars are able to retain Evan Engram, their offense will stay strong, good news for both Holz and Lawrence.
The good news for the Jaguars is that the AFC South should be theirs for the taking in 2023, given that each team in the division is likely undergoing a quarterback change.
