The Tennessee Titans have released a big name from their wide receiver room.
Robert Woods was cut on Wednesday, in a move to help free up cap space.

His release will save the team about $12 million, and allow them to use that space elsewhere.
Woods played in all 17 games last year but had one of the worst seasons of his career.
He caught 53 passes for 527 yards and two touchdowns.
The Titans were simply not a good fit for Woods, they are a run-first team and Woods was underutilized.
It did not help matters that quarterback Ryan Tannehill missed five games.
But, their passing offense as a whole was abysmal last season.
Woods joined Taylor Lewan and Randy Bullock as Titans players to be released on Wednesday.
Tennessee needed to free up cap space, and these three moves got them back under the cap.
For Woods, it will be interesting to see where he continues his career.
He needs to find a pass-first offense, and he should be able to thrive.
The best seasons of his career came with him playing in Los Angeles.
So finding another smart play caller and good quarterback should be at the top of Woods’ wish list.
He is entering his age 31 season and should be looking to join a contending team.
The veteran did not seem broken up by the fact he was just released.

Woods knows the situation was not right for him in Tennessee.
So finding a new home where he will be utilized is important.
