The Seattle Seahawks found a true gem in Tariq Woolen.
The rookie CB out of UTSA made an immediate impact and was one of the frontrunners to earn NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.
Notably, though, his game away from the field might be even more impressive than on it, as he has recently proven to be simply ruthless with his jokes.
Woolen made an appearance on the 2 Up 2 Down podcast, and his words on Russell Wilson weren’t exactly of praise.
The rookie claimed that he was shocked when he got to meet Wilson in person, as he didn’t look anything as he did on TV.
Instead, Woolen claimed that Wilson was built like a sack of potatoes:
“Seeing him in person, it was pretty funny. On TV you see him and from college you’re like, ‘OK, he looks in shape on TV.’ But if you see him in person, it’s weird,” Woolen laughingly said. “He’s like a sack of potatoes. He’s athletic and he’s a good player, but literally, when I saw him, I’m like, ‘Dang, I didn’t know he was built like that.’”

Of course, Woolen then praised the former Seahawks great, who’s become the butt of the joke around the league since arriving at Mile High.
Woolen didn’t get to play with Wilson for long, as Russ was sent to the Denver Broncos in a huge blockbuster deal.
The early returns of Wilson at Empower Field were far from impressive, as he vastly struggled to get anything going.
More impressively, that paved the way for multiple people — including former teammates — to take big shots at Russ, so he might not be as popular in the locker room as we always thought he was.
Wilson will be under contract for quite some time in Denver, so he’ll have more than enough time to earn his peers’ respect again, regardless of if he’s in good physical shape or not.
