The Philadelphia Eagles lost both of their coordinators to head coaching jobs this offseason.
Shane Steichen took over the Indianapolis Colts and Jonathan Gannon is now the head man in Arizona.
After losing Gannon the Eagles have been in talks with a few coaches for their DC position.
The first was former NFL safety Jim Leonard who was most recently the DC at Wisconsin.
He was one of the top defensive coordinators in college football over the past few seasons.
Recently, the team announced they will interview Vance Joseph, who was the DC in Arizona last year.

It will be interesting to see which way the Eagles go with their new DC.
Last season Joseph left a lot to be desired in Arizona.
The Cardinals had one of the worst defenses in the league, giving up 348.9 yards and 26.4 points per game.
While Joseph is not solely to blame, it certainly does not look good on his resume.
The defensive personnel in Philadelphia is a lot better than that in Arizona.
So Joseph should be able to have more success with better players.
Most Eagles fans were happy to see Gannon take the Cardinals’ job.
After giving up 38 points in the Super Bowl, and 24 in the second half, Gannon wore out his welcome with the fans.
But, for the Eagles to replicate their success from 2022 to 2023 will be very difficult.
They are set to lose a few impact defenders in free agency, and no one knows how a new defensive scheme will translate.
