The Indianapolis Colts have found their next offensive coordinator.
Looking for an offensive mind to lead their organization the Colts hired Shane Steichen as their head coach from the Philadelphia Eagles.
Steichen was the offensive coordinator in Philadelphia and he was a big reason for the development of Jalen Hurts.
The Eagles had the best rushing attack in the NFL, and Steichen seemed to be one of the top play callers in the league.
Even though the Colts do not have the personnel of the Eagles, they do have a few talented players.
Starting running back Jonathan Taylor is one of if not the best running back in the NFL.
Also, the Colts have the fourth overall pick, which should be used on a franchise quarterback.
But, Steichen will not be the only offensive mind on his staff.
He has hired Jim Bob Cooter to take over the offensive coordinator duties in Indy.
Jim Bob Cooter is expected to be named offensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts, per sources. Last year’s pass-game coordinator with Jacksonville was former Lions OC, worked with quarterbacks Payton Manning, Matthew Stafford and Trevor Lawrence in the past.

Cooter is an experienced coach who spent last season as the passing game coordinator in Jacksonville.
He will be relied on to work with Steichen to create the best offense possible for the Colts.
Steichen had success working with both Justin Herbert and Hurts.
So he has experience developing a young quarterback into a very good player.
There should be no doubt amongst the front office that the Colts need to use their first-round pick on a quarterback.
Some of the top options include Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud, both of which have star potential.
Ultimately, the Colts play in a terrible division and could compete in 2023.
But, they must find the right man for the job at quarterback.
