The Los Angeles Chargers have made a few different changes to their coaching staff.

Head coach Bradon Staley might be in for a make-or-break season.

So, for him to reboot his coaching staff should be no surprise.

One new coach they added to their staff was Kellen Moore to be their offensive coordinator.

Moore should be able to get the best out of quarterback Justin Herbert.

Also, LA will have a new defensive coordinator in 2023, as they promoted Derrick Ansley from within the organization to the position.

But, the newest change to the staff was not to any coach, instead, it was their head trainer.

The Chargers decided to part ways with Damon Mitchell who led the training staff for the past six seasons.

Chargers parted ways this week with head trainer Damon Mitchell, who had performed the job for six seasons and been with the organization for 24 years.

It will be interesting to see how the athletic trainer change will affect the team.

Will there be more or fewer injuries under a new trainer?

The Chargers have suffered from many injuries over the years, so a trainer change can not hurt.

Last season alone, many of their key players missed time.

Keenan Allen, Joey Bosa, Mike Williams, and Rashawn Slater all missed a significant amount of time.

Even though injuries are a part of the game, other teams do not suffer the number of injuries at the same rate as the Chargers do.

The 2023 season will be a massive one for the Chargers.

At some point, they need to break through and win a playoff game, for Staley’s sake that must come next year.
