With new head coach Jonathan Gannon in place, the Arizona Cardinals are going about the task of filling out his staff.
For his offensive coordinator, they reportedly have interest in Drew Petzing, who is currently the quarterbacks coach for the Cleveland Browns.

Petzing’s handiwork could be seen in how the Browns were able to stay afloat early this season with newcomer Deshaun Watson serving an 11-game suspension and veteran backup Jacoby Brissett under center.
Brissett did very well considering the circumstances, putting up 2,608 yards, 12 touchdown passes against only six interceptions, a 64.0 percent completion rate and an 88.9 passer rating.
Prior to this season, Petking was the Browns’ tight end coach for two seasons, and before that, he spent six seasons on the coaching staff of the Minnesota Vikings in several different capacities.
The Cardinals have an interesting quarterback situation, as they possess Kyler Murray, one of the better running QBs in the NFL, but people have doubted his abilities as a passer and game manager.
In addition, he is rehabbing from the torn ACL that he suffered late this season, and it isn’t known if he will be ready for the start of the 2023 campaign, let alone training camp this summer.
The wide receiver position is also in flux for Arizona, as there has been lots of speculation that it will go ahead and trade DeAndre Hopkins, who is now 30 years of age and has a huge contract.
The team will have a lot of work to do in order to return to the playoffs, especially in an NFC West division that could be very competitive next season.
