The Cincinnati Bengals made it to the AFC Championship for the second straight year in the 2022 season.

While they fell short of making it to the Super Bowl, they can hang their heads high, knowing they will have another great opportunity to compete in 2023.

An announcement confirmed that the team will be bringing back one of their most valuable special teams contributors.

Cal Adomitis has been officially re-signed by the Bengals.

Adomitis was a rookie in 2022 but made a big impact on the Bengals’ roster as a long-snapper.

While players like Adomitis aren’t always recognized on a national stage, special teams players are vital to the success of an organization.

Without a strong special teams unit, offenses and defenses can be put in difficult situations.

If a punter isn’t doing their job, or if returners frequently fumble the ball, it can lead to rough field position.

In the case of Adomitis, if his snap timing is off, or if he has a bad day, that can be the difference between a Bengals win and a Bengals loss.

Either way, the Bengals no longer have to worry about this position, as they have now locked up Adomitis.

Now, the Bengals will likely turn to Joe Burrow, as his long-term extension has yet to be signed.

Burrow has taken the Bengals from worst to first in their division and continues to excel in his abilities.

Will this be the offseason that the Bengals work out a long-term extension with Burrow, cementing him as their quarterback for the long haul?
