The Carolina Panthers recently made a move that sent shockwaves across the NFL.

They gave up five total assets to the Chicago Bears in exchange for the number one overall pick in the 2023 draft.

After this move occurred, it was announced that the Houston Texans and Las Vegas Raiders also threw their hat in the ring for this pick.

Ultimately, the Panthers made the most impressive offer, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

Sources: Both #Texans and #Raiders made serious inquiries about trading up with the #Bears for the No. 1 pick, but the #Panthers made the most impressive offer.

Since the Raiders have now signed Jimmy Garoppolo, they are no longer in need of a new quarterback.

Although the Texans weren’t able to make a deal happen for the number one overall pick, they should still be able to get a blue-chip talent at the number two spot.

Anthony Richardson, Bryce Young, and C.J. Stroud have been identified as the three best quarterbacks in the draft by many analysts.

After Deshaun Watson left the team, the Texans have been on a wide search to find their next franchise quarterback.

Davis Mills was not the answer, and it appears that the team is looking to the draft for a solution.

The Texans are slated to rebuild for the next few seasons, reloading their roster to contend in the future.

A young quarterback will hopefully be the new face of their franchise, leading the charge for future greatness.

How else will the Texans build their roster in the offseason?

With 11 draft picks in April, and $27 million in salary cap space, the Texans should be busy over the next several weeks.
