Patriots Player Is Trying To Recruit 1 NFL Star

When the new NFL league year officially begins later this month, there could be a good amount of player movement, just as there was last offseason.

Much of that player movement will likely be centered on the quarterback position, but there could be a couple of standout wide receivers available.

One of them is expected to be the Arizona Cardinals’ DeAndre Hopkins, whom many expect to be traded.

New England Patriots defensive end Matthew Judon took to Twitter to express his desire for Hopkins to join his team next season.

Hopkins had something of a down year in 2022 with just 717 receiving yards and three touchdowns, but he isn’t that far removed from five Pro Bowl nods, three straight All-Pro first-team selections and six seasons with over 1,100 yards.

After seven standout seasons with the Houston Texans, he was traded to the Cardinals for the 2020 season.

New England is coming off a disappointing season in which it finished just 8-9 and missed the playoffs for the second time in the three years since Tim Brady left the team.

One issue it has is a lack of weapons at the wide receiver position, and Hopkins could give them one who is proven.

Even though he will be 31 years of age next season, he should still be a very viable threat as long as he stays healthy.

The Patriots had just one wideout in Jakobi Meyers who had over 600 receiving yards or three touchdowns in 2022, and they finished just 19th in passing touchdowns and 20th in passing yards.
