Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin has made the rounds lately but once again, not for the best reasons.

The Hall of Famer wideout was removed from ESPN and the NFL Network after being accused of sexual misconduct at a Phoenix hotel during the Super Bowl festivities.

Irvin claims he’s being wrongfully accused and requested Marriott hotel to provide surveillance tape that backs up his case, and he’s been mostly quiet about this uncomfortable situation… until now.

According to ProFootballTalk, Irvin’s lawyer reached out to the media to let them know that Irvin intends to hold a press conference to speak his truth on this situation, with agent Steve Mandell and attorney Levi McCathern also in attendance.

Needless to say, that might only mean that he finally got the footage he was looking for and that he believes he has a strong case to prove his innocence.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that the former Super Bowl champion has been implicated in some sort of scandal, so NFL fans didn’t exactly take this news seriously and took to Twitter to crack some jokes at his expense.

I’m inclined to blame LeBron

This dude has done so much illegal shiz throughout his career, he thinks he can cheat the Gods when they come for him. Karma buddy.

A bit envious of his attorney. Not often you can take this type of an approach in a case. Looks like fun.

Irvin had become a regular presence on ESPN’s First Take with Stephen A. Smith, constantly debating and going at it with the controversial pundit.

Should he be cleared from any wrongdoing, it would be interesting to see whether ESPN and NFL Network decided to bring him back right away, as his reputation might have already taken way too many hits along the road.
