LaDainian Tomlinson Names 1 Team As Best Fit For Lamar Jackson

The Baltimore Ravens need to make a decision about Lamar Jackson pretty soon.

They could place him under the exclusive franchise tag and force him to stay for at least another year, but they’d have to pay him $45 million, which is roughly $13 million more than what he’d get from the non-exclusive tag.

But the non-exclusive tag would allow other teams to negotiate with him, and they’d be forced to either match that offer or let him go.

Of course, there’s also another possibility: They could trade him to the best suitor and just be over with this drama.

Should that be the case, then former NFL star LaDainian Tomlinson believes the Atlanta Falcons would be a tailor-made fit for the former MVP.

Tomlinson explained that the offense is suited for Jackson’s skills, as they feature a run-heavy offense with the kind of personnel he needs around him to thrive.

They have a potential All-Pro tight end in Kyle Pitts, and Jackson has thrived when looking for his TEs.

More than that, Tomlinson believes that Jackson’s presence will revamp the organization and the city as a whole, as they haven’t had a guy who could bring that kind of excitement since Michael Vick was in town:

The Falcons sure have more than enough cap space to make numbers work with Jackson, as well as draft capital and assets to engage in talks with the Ravens.

Jackson is too good of a player to be lowballed by his very own team, so let’s hope he gets what he deserves, regardless of where he’s playing.
