Some NFL fans have complained that there isn’t that much defense played in pro football these days and that the league has even tried to legislate defense out of the game.
Yet, the cornerback position is still of utmost importance, even if modern pass interference rules have made it harder for players at that position to do their thing.
Joe Haden, a former star corner for the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers who made the Pro Bowl three times, just named his top seven corners in the NFL right now.
Former All-Pro Joe Haden names his top current NFL CB’s:
•Jalen Ramsey
•Patrick Surtain II
•Darius Slay
•@JaireAlexander
•Sauce Gardner
•Kenny Moore II

Jalen Ramsey, the first man who was mentioned, has been one of the game’s best at that position for seven years, and he has a Super Bowl ring to show for it.
He has been named to the Pro Bowl in each of the last six seasons, and he has also earned three All-Pro first-team nods.
Ramsey’s advanced stats took a hit this past season, but he is still considered a major commodity.
Many believe the Los Angeles Rams will soon trade him in order to save some money, and if that is the case, there should be many teams interested in him.
Patrick Surtain blossomed in 2022 for the Denver Broncos, and he earned Pro Bowl and All-Pro first-team honors as a result in just his second pro season.
Darius Slay, a 10-year veteran and five-time Pro Bowler, helped the Philadelphia Eagles forge the NFL’s third-best scoring defense in 2022.
Sauce Gardner has given long-suffering New York Jets fans hope, as he was named the Defensive Rookie of the Year after posting a league-high 20 passes defended this past season while also being named to the Pro Bowl and All-Pro first team.
