Jets Analyst Shares A Bold Aaron Rodgers Prediction

The New York Jets have to find a sure thing at quarterback.

Instead of going year to year with rookies and bridge players, they need a guy they can count on week in and week out

One name that comes to mind is Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

It seems likely that the Packers will be looking to trade Rodgers this offseason.

He is entering his age-40 season but has shown in recent years he can still play at a high level.

If they do trade Rodgers, Green Bay will want it to be to an AFC team.

That is why the Jets make sense.

Also, they have the offensive weapons in place that Rodgers would flourish with.

According to Jake Asman, host of The Wheelhouse on ESPN975, he predicted Rodgers will be starting in New York for the 2023 season.

One issue for the Jets is that they are predicted to have around -2.4 million in cap space.

So they would have to clear cap space to afford Rodgers.

Also, there is no guarantee that Rodgers will play more than one season.

Each season he seemingly considers retirement, and one of these years he will finally do it.

But, for at least next season it might be worth it for the Jets to make a deep playoff run.

New York has both the offensive and defensive rookie of the year in Garrett Wilson and Sauce Gardner.

Plus, plenty of other young playmakers.

Expect to see the Jets aggressively attacking the QB market, with Rodgers as the top target.
