The New York Jets missed the playoffs in 2022, despite having one of the NFL’s top defenses.

While there are many aspects of the Jets that are in need of improvement, many have pointed to the quarterback position as their biggest need.

Throughout this offseason, there have been a few marquee candidates that have been suggested as the best fit for the Jets.

Recently, a former NFL player broke down who he believes is the man for the job.

.@TedyBruschi believes if the Jets want to win a championship, they should go after Aaron Rodgers and not Derek Carr:

Tedy Bruschi is a 13-year NFL veteran and has since become a leading NFL analyst.

Derek Carr has been widely discussed as a great option to lead the Jets’ offense moving forward.

He was released from the Las Vegas Raiders and is free to sign with whatever team he would like.

In Bruschi’s mind, Aaron Rodgers presents the best opportunity for the Jets to compete for a Super Bowl.

Unlike the Green Bay Packers, the Jets have invested first-round capital in skill-position players.

Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore, and Breece Hall are the Jets’ leading young talents and could be great options for Rodgers on offense.

However, there is one elephant in the room, making it difficult to fully fantasize about Rodgers’ moving to the Jets.

He is not a free agent.

In order for Rodgers to sign elsewhere, he will need to be released from the Packers.

To Bruschi, a player like Rodgers is well worth the wait, especially if the Jets want to win a Super Bowl in the near future.
