The Jacksonville Jaguars organization has shifted completely over the past two years.

A big reason for that has been Trevor Lawrence’s ability to lead, and he has improved a lot in just two seasons as the Jaguars’ quarterback

Due to Lawrence’s impact, the Jaguars have been able to land several free agents in the past year, including Evan Engram.

Engram was a key contributor for the team on offense this season.

While his status on the Jaguars moving forward has been largely unknown up to this point, Engram did provide an update recently.

“The interest is there on both sides for me to come back.”@Jaguars TE Evan Engram discussed his approach to free agency and the possibility of the franchise tag.

In an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio, Engram contended that there is interest from the Jaguars for him to return to the team.

Engram spent the first five years of his NFL career with the New York Giants, who drafted him in the first round in 2017.

Although he was well-liked on the Giants, Engram ultimately decided to change his scenery, landing him in Jacksonville.

Engram and Lawrence had an instant bond, which led to Engram’s career highs in receptions and receiving yards.

It appears that Engram has assimilated well to Jacksonville, and having the support of the franchise’s quarterback certainly bodes well for him.

However, at the end of the day, the NFL is a business.

If Engram and the Jaguars are unable to put together the financial side of this deal, he could end up leaving the team.

He was on the books for $9 million in 2022 and is looking for something more moving forward.
