Everyone Is Talking About What The Jets Reportedly Said To Derek Carr

The New York Jets are reportedly targeting Derek Carr to be their next quarterback.

And according to the latest reports, it’s not just that they believe he can be somewhat good for them and bridge the transition toward a new era.

Per ESPN’s Diana Russini, the Jets believe Carr is the right guy to lead them the distance and multiple Super Bowls, and they made sure to make him realize just how much faith they have in him.

As a matter of fact, they reportedly told Carr that they believe he could become a first-ballot Hall of Famer once it’s all said and done, which is obviously a bit of a stretch.

Don’t get me wrong; I do believe Carr is a very good quarterback and one that people don’t give credit to enough.

But looking at his résumé, it would take a lot for him to make the Hall of Fame at this point in his career, let alone a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

Since entering the league in 2014, Carr has thrown for 35,222 yards on a 64.6% completion percentage.

He’s got a 63-79 record and has thrown for 217 TD passes and 99 interceptions, making it to four Pro Bowls.

Moreover, he’s only made the playoffs once in his career, going 0-1, so plenty of fans were in disbelief at such a bold prediction.

This is the silliest damn statement

I don’t care how personal you make things, you can’t just lie to a guy like this. Derek Carr should run to New Orleans

Of course, Carr still has plenty of football left in the tank, and we’ve seen multiple players become late bloomers.

The Jets have plenty of weapons and a promising team, so there’s a slight chance their prediction will become true.

But the chances are slim; we’re not going to lie.
