Dolphins Coach Has A Very Strong Opinion About DeMeco Ryans

The Houston Texans got one of the biggest rising stars in the NFL coaching world.

It had been a while since people started talking about DeMeco Ryans’ prospect as an NFL Head Coach, yet some wondered whether he’d get a chance.

The Texans, however, didn’t hesitate to bring him on board and take over for Love Smith, hoping he could work his defensive magic with one of the bottom-feeding teams in the NFL.

Notably, Miami Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel — who knows Ryans pretty well from their days together with the San Francisco 49ers —believes there’s nothing but great things ahead for the Texans with DeMeco as their main guy.

McDaniel praised Ryan’s ability to handle the players and their characters, stating that he’s tailor-made for leading men, especially when things aren’t going their way.

That has surely been the case in Houston for the past couple of years.

Not only did they lose all their best players in questionable moves and trades, but now star WR Brandin Cooks also wants to leave.

On top of that, they’re likely to be with a rookie QB behind center, and that doesn’t always translate into wins.

But Ryans has proven to be one of the best defensive minds in the game, and young guys usually thrive when they buy into a ‘player’s coach’ philosophy.

So, hopefully, the Texans will put Ryans in a position to succeed and will stay patient with him, even if the early returns aren’t the best.
