The Carolina Panthers need a new quarterback.

They can not go into another season with question marks at the most important position.

Carolina has a good roster, but inconsistent quarterback play has held them back for years.

So the one player the Panthers should be targeting is Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

It seems likely that the Packers will look to trade Rodgers, but they will most likely want to move him to an AFC team.

But, if no AFC teams are interested the Packers will just have to send Rodgers to whatever team will give them the best trade package.

Fox Sports analyst Colin Cowherd thinks Rodgers and the Panthers make a ton of sense and they are reportedly interested.

Cowherd comes up with plenty of good reasons as to why the Panthers make sense.

For a quarterback entering his age-40 season, winning should be the top priority.

Playing in the NFC South would immediately make Rodgers the best quarterback in the division.

Also, he would make the Panthers the heavy favorite to come out of the NFC South.

Cowherd also mentioned how the Panthers have plenty of draft picks they can offer in a trade.

After trading Christian McCaffrey last season, the Panthers loaded up on draft capital.

This would be a good way for them to spend it.

Instead of looking into drafting another quarterback, the Panthers should look to win now with Rodgers.

The NFC is a weak conference as a whole and the Panthers would be a top-four team in it.

This move makes sense for both the Panthers and Rodgers, but everyone must wait for Green Bay to make a decision first.
