Some people didn’t hesitate to count the Kansas City Chiefs out last season.
They claimed they wouldn’t be able to be as offensively explosive without Tyreek Hill, stating that Patrick Mahomes would be exposed once and for all.
They also doubted their defense, predicting they would fail to contain the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals and their elite offenses, but that wasn’t the case at all.
The Chiefs are once again the reigning world champions, and they continue to walk on clouds, even a week after taking that Vince Lombardi trophy home.
So, when asked about whether the Super Bowl win had already sunk in, Chiefs star LB Willie Gay stated that it felt so good that he actually wants to win a couple more:
“You know what, it has, people treat us so well and I like that, so I got to get me a couple more. Thank God I’m on this team, so I know that’s going to happen,” Gay said.

The Chiefs will continue to be the ruling force in the NFL until proven otherwise.
They lost offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy to the Washington Commanders, and that’s going to be a major factor going forward.
But they still have one of the most prominent offensive masterminds in football history leading the way in Andy Reid, not to mention perhaps the most talented quarterback in football history in Mahomes.
They also have plenty of steady contributors on rookie and team-friendly deals, so there’s no reason to think the Chiefs can’t reach the ultimate stage again multiple times in the foreseeable future.
A couple of Super Bowl wins would be ambitious and nearly impossible for most teams, but if someone can pull it off, that’s the Chiefs.
