Chiefs Legend Responds To LeSean McCoy’s Criticism Of Eric Bieniemy

The Kansas City Chiefs will have a tough time finding the right replacement for Eric Bieniemy, who is set to join Ron Rivera and the Washington Commanders.

Bieniemy was the Chiefs’ Offensive Coordinator for the past five seasons, but his time with the team goes all the way back to 2013 when he got started as a running backs coach.

He’s had no shortage of great talents play under him over the years, yet it seems like he never got along with former NFL star LeSean McCoy.

McCoy joined the Chiefs in the twilight of his career and was rarely featured by Bieniemy, so ‘Shady’ didn’t hesitate to throw him under the bus.

Per McCoy, losing Bieniemy wouldn’t be a big deal for the Chiefs, as Andy Reid was the one calling the plays most of the time anyways.

Notably, it didn’t take long before multiple former, and current Chiefs players took to social media to defend Bieniemy, including Chiefs legend Jamaal Charles.

Charles — the franchise’s all-time leader in rushing yards — praised Bieniemy and claimed he’s still learning from him, calling out McCoy for his comments:

Truth be told, even if McCoy were right — which he isn’t — he’s just coming out as petty and salty right now.

Bieniemy has done more than enough merits to be considered one of the best offensive minds in the game, and his offense helped Shady win a Super Bowl ring, even if he wasn’t on the field in the playoffs, so he better show more respect.
