The quarterback position has been one of the most discussed during the 2023 NFL offseason cycle.

Derek Carr was recently signed to the New Orleans Saints, taking a possible destination off the board.

With the franchise tag deadline rapidly approaching and free agency looming, many teams will look to solidify their quarterback situation.

The saga of Aaron Rodgers continues to dominate headlines, as he still hasn’t decided on returning to the Green Bay Packers.

However, a recent report from Trey Wingo suggests that Rodgers could have a new plan in mind: the New York Jets.

Per sources. Aaron Rodgers and the Jets had conversations today. While nothing is imminent Rodgers is open to the idea of going to NY

While the Jets talk was largely speculative, until Wingo’s comments, there hadn’t been anything definitive about the two parties meeting.

Rodgers is still a member of the Packers, and until he decides his plans, he is expected to return.

The Jets are a destination that does make sense for Rodgers, should he choose to go there.

For starters, the Jets have committed significant draft capital over the past several years to improve their offense as a whole.

Last season, the Jets drafted both Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson, and both made an instant impact on their offense.

In 2021, they drafted Elijah Moore, who has also been a valuable wide receiver talent.

They have also drafted offensive linemen in the past several seasons, including Alijah Vera-Tucker and Mekhi Becton, both of whom have shined.

The Jets also had one of the league’s best defenses in 2022, making this team quite attractive to a prospective star quarterback.
