Aaron Rodgers Comments On His Darkness Retreat

The Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, and Las Vegas Raiders are all waiting for Aaron Rodgers’ decision.

Rodgers made it clear that he’s still an MVP-caliber player; he just needs to be in the most favorable position for him.

Whether that’s in Green Bay or not remains to be seen, but Rodgers’ back-and-forth with the organization makes it seem like he’s done playing at Lambeau Field.

Recently, Packers GM Brian Gutekunst also seemed to hint at that possibility, praising Jordan Love and stating that he’s ready and must play.

Fortunately, for everybody interested, it seems like it won’t be long before we hear Rodgers’ decision, as he had a long conversation with Aubrey Marcus about it.

Rodgers reportedly told Marcus that he spent a couple of days of his darkness retreat imagining how his life would be if he retired and then thinking about how things would be if he decided to keep playing.

#Packers QB Aaron Rodgers to @AubreyMarcus on his darkness retreat: “I spent parts of a couple of days imagining what it would be like to retire, and then imagining what it would be like to continue to play.”

Rodgers’ full podcast appearance will be released tomorrow.

While that answer doesn’t exactly shed light on his plans for the future, it’s evident that he was actually torn, and retirement was a real possibility on his mind.

Rodgers still has plenty left in the tank and is one of the greatest QBs of all time, so it would be a shame to see him just walk away like this.

But even if he comes back, all signs point towards him leaving the Packers and pursuing a new challenge somewhere else.
