The Panthers Are Reportedly Open To Moving On From 1 QB

The Carolina Panthers have made one of the most exciting moves so far this offseason.

They traded up with the Chicago Bears for the first-overall pick in the draft.

It is safe to assume that the Panthers will use that pick on their next franchise quarterback.

Also, if you are picking a QB first overall, he is expected to start in year one.

So, that means they will no longer need former third-round pick Matt Coral.

According to Mike Girardi, the Panthers would be willing to move Coral this offseason.

Heard from multiple sources that the #Panthers would be willing to move last year’s 3rd round draft pick, QB Matt Corral. Cost won’t be high.

He missed all of last season with a Lisfranc injury, so it is anyone’s guess what Corral can do on an NFL field.

If he is traded, you can assume the Panthers will not get much more in return than a late-round draft pick.

Corral will not be asked to start anywhere in 2023, but a team that wants a young player to develop should be interested.

It seems like the Panthers saw enough out of Corral last preseason to move on.

He is no longer in their plans and they are looking to get back anything for him.

The Panthers have been in QB purgatory since Cam Newton left.

Newton was the last star QB they had and he was selected first overall back in 2011.

Carolina is hoping they can find another future league MVP with their first pick this year.

It will be interesting to see if any team is interested in taking Corral off the Panthers’ hands.
