NFL Analyst Raves About QB Prospect At Combine

When the NFL draft is held late next month, at least one team could walk away with a legitimate franchise quarterback for at least the next decade.

That is the potential that Bryce Young of the University of Alabama and Ohio State University’s C.J. Stroud have, as well as possibly Will Levis from the University of Kentucky.

NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah was thoroughly impressed by the throwing skills that Stroud displayed at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

Young has also displayed tremendous passing skills, but many have concerns about his size.

Stroud, on the other hand, is a stout 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, and he put up 3,688 passing yards and 41 touchdown passes this season for the 11-2 Buckeyes.

Last season, he threw for 4,435 yards and 44 touchdowns while completing an amazing 71.9 percent of his passes.

Just weeks ago, Stroud led Ohio State to the Peach Bowl, and although they narrowly lost to the University of Georgia Bulldogs, he played an outstanding game by putting up 348 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions.

Still, it is starting to look like Young will be taken before Stroud in the draft, even though the former may not have the size to see over defenses or withstand hits from some of the NFL’s bigger defensive ends and outside linebackers.

But perhaps no team can go wrong with either player under center moving forward, as they both possess nicely polished skills that could ensure multiple appearances in the Pro Bowl in the years to come.
