A Notable Coach Has Reportedly Skipped The Combine So Far

The 2023 NFL Combine is underway.

Thus far, many teams across the league have conducted interviews with their top prospects, ahead of the week’s top drills and performances.

However, according to New England Patriots reporter Khari Thompson, one coach has yet to make an appearance.

Bill Belichick has yet to arrive at the NFL combine.

Belichick was instrumental in the development of Tom Brady and is widely recognized and respected as one of the best coaches of all time.

During his nearly 50 years of NFL experience, Belichick has been at least partially responsible for some of the best teams in NFL history.

Of every coach in the NFL, Belichick knows what he is looking for in terms of draft prospects, as he has seen thousands of players throughout his tenure.

The Patriots finished the 2022 season with an 8-9 record, which was just their second losing season in the past ten years.

After Tom Brady exited New England, the organization has been craving another Super Bowl appearance.

For many rebuilding teams, the combine and draft are major focal points.

If Belichick and the Patriots can draft wisely this season, they should be able to find day-one contributors to their roster.

While the Patriots used first-round capital on Mac Jones in 2021, many have been skeptical of Jones’ ability to be a long-term NFL starter.

The Patriots currently hold the 14th overall pick in April’s draft.

If there is a quarterback available that Belichick and his staff have their eyes on, will they pull the trigger?
