Whenever a team makes it to the Super Bowl, their season is seen as a massive success across the league.
Win or lose, players and coaches from the two teams are coveted, as they found what it takes to succeed at the highest level.
This was particularly true for the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles lost their offensive and defensive coordinators, each securing a head coaching gig with another team.
In their absence, the Eagles’ front office needed to act quickly to replace them, as evidenced by a recent move by the organization.

Brian Johnson was the Eagles’ quarterbacks coach for two seasons and has now been promoted to their offensive coordinator.
Johnson has been a key contributor to the rise of Jalen Hurts, which must have been a large consideration in this promotion.

Hurts was an MVP candidate during the 2022 season and should continue to grow next year, especially with stability in his coaching staff.
As good as Shane Steichen was, Brian Johnson might just be viewed as an upgrade because there isn’t another coach out there who understands Jalen Hurts more then Johnson does himself.

Johnson and Hurts have a much more storied history than their time together with the Eagles.
Hurts’ father coached Johnson when he was in high school.
In turn, Johnson was instrumental in Hurts’ recruiting process, who went to Alabama instead of Florida and Mississippi State.
The Eagles will undergo a bit of change next season, losing Shane Steichen and Jonathan Gannon.
However, their roster should remain steady, anchored by Hurts, AJ Brown, and DeVonta Smith.
