Key Bills Player Gets Honest About His NFL Future

The Buffalo Bills had a disappointing season in 2022.

They came into the year as the favorite to win the Super Bowl.

But, instead failed to even get out of the AFC divisional round.

The future is still bright in Buffalo, due to their quarterback Josh Allen.

Even though he can be erratic at times, Allen does a lot of great things on the field.

But, Allen will need help next season, and their defense could use some improvements.

One key Bills player that is set to hit free agency is safety Jordan Poyer.

He talked on his podcast about how heading back to Buffalo might not be in the cards.

“I would love to go to a state that doesn’t take half my money… It would be nice to see the sun, maybe, every week or so.”

He mentioned how going to a state with no income tax will play a big role in his decision.

Also, a warm state seems like something he is interested in.

New York is none of those.

Two states to consider for Poyer are Texas and Florida.

They each have multiple teams and have no state income tax.

Some teams, in particular, could be the Miami Dolphins or Houston Texans.

Each could use help in their secondary, and Poyer would be an upgrade.

Poyer was an all-pro in 2021 and made the pro-bowl last season.

He will be one of the more sought-after free agents, and whoever pays the most money will ultimately land him.

Keep an eye on the Bills during this offseason, as they hope to elevate themselves back into Super Bowl contention.
