The Arizona Cardinals finally got their guy.

Following weeks of speculation, the team from the desert finally hired former Philadelphia Eagles Defensive Coordinator Jonathan Gannon to serve as their new Head Coach.

Now, they need to keep rounding up the coaching staff with the best minds available in the game.

They’ve done exactly that by hiring 44-year-old Ben Steele to become their new Tight Ends coach, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Steele is coming off spending last season as the Denver Broncos’ assistant Offensive Line coach.

He was hired by Nathaniel Hackett, and he might not have a place now that Sean Payton is ready to take the reins of the team.

He also served as an assistant offensive line coach for the Minnesota Vikings and Tight Ends coach with both the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He also was an offensive quality control coach and Tampa, as well as multiple roles at the collegiate level at UC Davis, California, Colorado, and Mesa State.

Moreover, he knows one thing or two about the position, as he played 17 games from 2001-07 as a reserve tight end in the NFL.

The Cardinals have one of the best guys in the position in Zach Ertz, who’s coming off a major injury, so they did well by bringing in an experienced guy to help him get back at his best.

Needless to say, this team will need plenty of help to go back to contention, especially if QB Kyler Murray misses a big part of the season.
