1 Team Named As Betting Favorite To Land Aaron Rodgers

The Green Bay Packers have some of the NFL’s most loyal fans, and these days, they’re on pins and needles.

They have been in waiting over the last few weeks as quarterback Aaron Rodgers decides whether to retire, stay with the Packers, or get traded to another team.

If he does get traded, the Las Vegas Raiders have emerged as the betting favorite to land him.

The Raiders definitely need a reliable QB, as they benched Derek Carr late this season before releasing him, and his replacement, Jarrett Stidham, didn’t quite stand out in two starts.

A trade to Las Vegas would reunite Rodgers with star wide receiver Davante Adams, who was his favorite target in Green Bay until the three-time All-Pro selection was traded to the Raiders last offseason.

Rodgers himself hinted that he could be interested in going to Sin City while playing golf recently.

The Raiders had a very frustrating 2022 season in which they finished just 6-11, but they do have considerable talent.

Running back Josh Jacobs logged 1,653 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, and as long as the Raiders re-sign him, they will continue to possess a potent offense.

Defensively, pass rusher Maxx Crosby is a monster who put up 12.5 sacks, 36 quarterback hits and 22 tackles for loss.

Rodgers’ production dipped a bit in 2022, but perhaps a change of scenery will boost his play a bit, at least in the short term.

A move to Las Vegas could make the race for the AFC title very interesting once the 2023 season begins.
