Justin Jefferson’s first three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings have been nothing short of spectacular.

Coming off a season in which he won the Offensive Player of the Year award, many have called Jefferson one of, if not the best receiver in the league.

In his first three years, Jefferson has achieved 4,825 receiving yards, 324 receptions, and 25 touchdowns.

While Jefferson achieved an elusive award last season, his coaching staff has faith that he has more to prove.

His head coach, Kevin O’Connell, had this to say about Jefferson.

“He and I have just scratched the surface of where we want to go as an offense – and particularly with him as our premier receiver,” said O’Connell.

In 2022, Jefferson saw career highs in both receptions and receiving yards.

His 1,809 yards in 2022 were the sixth-most in NFL history by a receiver in a single season.

To put this into perspective, this number was behind Calvin Johnson, Cooper Kupp, Julio Jones, Jerry Rice, and Antonio Brown.

Each of those players will likely make it to the NFL’s Hall of Fame, and Jefferson is well on track to make it there himself.

Despite each of these players’ accomplishments, there is something that has never been done in NFL history.

2,000 receiving yards in a single season is an elusive mark.

The closest to this was Johnson’s 2012 season when he achieved 1,964 yards.

It appears that Jefferson will continue to be a large part of the Vikings’ offense.

Will he be able to achieve something that’s never been done before, eclipsing 2,000 yards next season?
