The Los Angeles Rams are shaking things up after a bad 2022 season.
After winning Super Bowl 56, the Rams had one of the worst Super Bowl hangovers in NFL history.
Their 5-12 record last season made for the worst record by a defending Super Bowl champion.
With them failing in 2022, it was time for them to make some adjustments to their coaching personnel.
The change has them hiring Aubrey Pleasant as the defensive backs coach/passing game coordinator.
An assistant coaching return: the Rams are hiring Aubrey Pleasant as their DB coach/passing game coordinator, per source.
Pleasant returns to LA after serving as the Lions DB coach/passing game coordinator and then a consultant for the Packers for the second half of 2022.

Pleasant is no stranger to the Rams, as he spent four years coaching their cornerbacks.
With him already being a familiar face to the team, the hiring makes sense.
During his previous run with the Rams, he was the man behind the success of Marcus Peters, Troy Hill, and Darious Williams.
He also was coaching with the team during their Super Bowl 53 run.
That run saw his cornerbacks giving opponents fits, as they held the New England Patriots to 13 points in Super Bowl 53.
While his cornerbacks helped post some low numbers in Super Bowl history, the team’s offense could win the game.
With him having success in Los Angeles working with their cornerbacks, the hiring of him back on the team’s coaching staff can help them in 2023.
The Rams can use the help, as they ranked 22nd in passing yards allowed and 21st in pass completions in 2022.
With Pleasant making his return, it can help revive the passing defense that found little success last season.
His talent, plus the defensive talent in Los Angeles, can make for a playoff run in 2023 for the Rams.
