The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to reload their offense for the 2023 season.

After losing in the Super Bowl, the Eagles’ roster will look very different next season.

They have already lost some impact defensive players in free agency.

Also, they are expecting to move on from starting running back Miles Sanders.

But, to fill Sanders’ role the Eagles made a running back acquisition.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Eagles have agreed to a contract with running back Rashaad Penny.

This is an interesting move for the Eagles as many people thought Kenneth Gainwell would be their starter.

That may still be the case, but Penny will certainly be a factor in the offense.

One knock on Penny is that he is rarely healthy.

He has never played a full season in his NFL career.

Over the last three years, he is averaging just six games played per season.

Next year will be his age-27 season, and his history shows us he will not be available for every game.

The Eagles will once again be a run-first offense in 2023, so Penny will have to play a role.

It will be interesting to see what other moves the Eagles try to make.

Watching all these players leave the Eagles in free agency is no surprise.

They will have to go bargain shopping for players like Penny, as their QB awaits his payday.
