The Cowboys Have Reportedly Made A Decision About 1 Defensive Lineman

The Dallas Cowboys will have plenty of tough decisions to make this offseason.

On Monday, they decided to use the franchise tag on running back Tony Pollard.

The tag will pay him just north of $10 million for next season.

But, Dallas still has plenty of more moves they need to make.

Any move that can help them create cap room is something worth looking into.

That is why they need to decide on running back Ezekiel Elliott.

Dallas can save just over $11 million if they agree to release Elliott.

But, it seems like the Cowboys want to keep him around for next season.

If that is the case Elliott will have to take a massive pay cut.

Another position they can look at to try and create some cap relief is the defensive line.

One player that many thought would be on the chopping block was defensive tackle, Neville Gallimore.

According to Jordan Schultz, the Cowboys are not expected to release Gallimore.

This move is a curious one by the Cowboys, as Gallimore did not play much in 2022.

He had a career-low 37% snap percentage and recorded only 1.0 sacks and 33 total tackles.

Gallimore will be entering his age-26 season next year, and is also in the final year of his rookie contract.

One spot the Cowboys need to improve next year is their run defense, and Gallimore can be a factor.

This will be the final chance Gallimore gets to show the Cowboys why he can still be an impactful player.
