The Chiefs Have Signed A New Left Tackle

The Kansas City Chiefs are not going to sit back and relax this offseason after winning the Super Bowl.

They plan on doing whatever is necessary to improve their team.

At the start of free agency, they lost offensive tackle Andrew Wylie.

But, they responded to that loss by signing an offensive tackle of their own.

According to Albert Breer, the Chiefs have agreed to a contract with offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor.

The Chiefs are signing Jawaan Taylor to a four-year deal with the plan being to make him their new left tackle, I’m told (pending what happens in the draft). So like they did with Orlando Brown, they’ll convert a RT over.

KC gets the long-term stability they sought at that spot.

This was a surprising deal to see the Chiefs land such a big-named player.

But, they have the cap space to make winning moves, and that is exactly what they did.

This move should keep the Chiefs as the favorites to win the Super Bowl.

Keeping Patrick Mahomes upright should be the most important thing for the Chiefs.

As long as he is on the field, the Chiefs have a chance to win any game.

So seeing the Chiefs continuing to invest in the offensive line is something we should get used to.

Taylor is just entering the prime of his career, being only 25 years old.

Through his first four seasons, Taylor has not missed a single game.

With the signing of Taylor, that means that the Chiefs are out on Orlando Brown Jr.

He played the last two seasons in KC, but they will move forward without their Pro Bowl tackle.

Expect the Chiefs to continue being aggressive this offseason as they look to repeat as champions.
