The Bills Are Reportedly Expecting To Lose 2 Players In Free Agency

The Buffalo Bills had a dominant 2022 regular season.

Despite their dominance, they fell short of the AFC Championship, losing to the Cincinnati Bengals in the divisional round.

Ahead of the 2023 season, the Bills could be without two of their top defensive contributors, according to Adam Schefter.

Jordan Poyer and Tremaine Edmunds are the two players that Schefter believes will leave the Bills in free agency.

Poyer is a safety, and Edmunds is a linebacker.

Both are crucial positions for the Bills.

Although the Bills signed Von Miller last season, a dominant linebacker in his own right, he was injured, and unable to finish the season.

This caused Edmunds to step into a bigger role, and he was sure to deliver in an increased role.

Last season, Edmunds had 102 total tackles, one sack, and one interception.

A needed player on the Bills’ defensive side of the ball, he will certainly be missed, assuming the team moves on from him.

Although Poyer had a down year due to his normal standards, he still contributed 63 tackles and four interceptions.

Now, the Bills will likely be forced to draft replacements or sign other players in free agency.

Thankfully for the Bills, they already have Josh Allen locked down on the offensive side of the ball.

Will the Bills be able to continue their defensive dominance in 2023, even without Poyer and Edmunds?

The AFC is continually improving, and as a result, the Bills will need to keep their foot on the gas to remain in the race.
