Sean Salisbury Predicts What The Texans Will Do At QB

The Houston Texans have some tough decisions to make this offseason.

They have just brought in a brand new coaching staff led by DeMeco Ryans.

He is expected to be the one that will turn this franchise around.

But, for any team to have success they need to have a good quarterback.

As of right now, they do not have one.

So that is why they need to be aggressive in finding their signal caller of the future.

Houston holds the second overall pick in the NFL Draft, and it seems like a lock they will take a quarterback there.

Houston radio host Sean Salisbury thinks the Texans will draft a quarterback and sign a veteran.

Sean Salisbury (@SeanUnfiltered) tells us that he thinks the #Texans will go after Jimmy G if the price is right AND select a QB with the 2nd overall pick in this year’s draft.

Salisbury explains how the Texans might be interested in going after Jimmy Garoppolo in free agency.

He is a solid veteran quarterback who their rookie can sit behind for a year and learn from.

That is assuming they want to sit their second-overall pick his first season.

Usually, when a player is picked that high he starts right away.

But, the Texans will not be competitive next season so they have the luxury of taking it slow with their rookie.

Garoppolo has familiarity with the offensive coordinator in Houston, Bobby Slowik.

He was a part of the 49ers’ offensive staff over the past four seasons, and someone Garoppolo had to work closely with.

So it could be in the cards that Garoppolo heads to a place where he will be comfortable.

Houston has two top-12 draft picks and plenty of cap space, so they are a team to watch this offseason.
