The NFL combine is the best pre-draft workout event, where every team goes to find the next superstars in the league.

That will be no different this year with the combine begins.

One player that NFL Network’s Peter Schrager is keeping an eye on is Texas Tech edge rusher, Tyree Wilson.

“Everyone knows about Will Anderson, Jalen Carter, and Myles Murphy from the college season. The pass rushing prospect I keep hearing about from teams, though, is Tyree Wilson from Texas Tech.”

Wilson is viewed as one of the top pass rushers in this draft class and a top-10 pick.

Unfortunately, he is recovering from a fractured foot he suffered in November.

So, he will not be able to perform in any of the on-field drills, other than the bench press.

Instead, he will wait until his Pro Day to show scouts what he can do on-field.

Wilson has been one of the top pass rushers in college football over the past two seasons.

He had 14.0 sacks over his final two college seasons, including 27.5 tackles for loss.

It will be interesting to see how not performing in the combine affects his draft stock.

Some players have used their combine performance to help propel them up the draft boards.

Schrager mentioned how that happened with first-overall pick Travon Walker last season.

Wilson seems to be one player flying under the radar, but he has a chance to be a great NFL player.

Also, he plays one of the most important positions.

Some team should take a chance on him inside the top 10, and they will most likely be happy that they did.
