Nick Wright Makes It Clear What Direction He Would Go With Aaron Rodgers

Just a few years ago, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was one of the most respected players in the NFL, but his reputation has been soiled more recently.

Over the last two years, he has been seen as something of a diva amidst his demands for a huge contract extension last offseason and the controversy surrounding his not being vaccinated against COVID-19.

Many have felt he has played his final game for the Packers, and a couple of teams have been rumored to be seriously interested in trading for him.

But there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of interest in the four-time MVP, and Fox Sports 1 personality Nick Wright said that if he were in charge of a team, he wouldn’t want Rodgers.

“I wouldn’t be in the Aaron Rodgers business anymore. The juice is no longer worth the squeeze. … He missed his window.”

There is no doubt that Rodgers will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer after he hangs up his cleats, as he led the Packers to a Super Bowl championship in 2010 and had been in the conversation as arguably the best QB in the game for many years.

However, this past season his production fell, and it was the first time since 2017, when he played in just seven games because of a collarbone injury, that he wasn’t named to the Pro Bowl.

The last time Rodgers was healthy but didn’t get voted to the Pro Bowl was ironically in that 2010 championship season.

The New York Jets are reportedly very interested in him, and there has been speculation that the Las Vegas Raiders may kick the tires on a Rodgers trade, one that would reunite him with star wide receiver Davante Adams.

However, it is starting to look like he may remain in Green Bay for at least one more year.
