Each year we see a player improve his draft stock at the NFL combine.
It seems like that player this year is Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson.
Many people that have watched Richardson play know he is a good athlete.
But, what he did at the combine was something that no one expected to see.
His testing compares favorably to some of the top players in the NFL.
Florida QB Anthony Richardson at the 2023 NFL Combine:
Height: 6’4 1/4″ (taller than George Kittle)
Weight: 244 lbs (heavier than Haason Reddick)
Hand: 10 1/2″ (bigger than DeAndre Hopkins)
Vert: 40.5” (higher than Davante Adams)
Broad jump: 10’9” (longer than Odell Beckham Jr)

He blew the competition out of the water, and his draft stock continues to rise.
Earlier in draft season, it seemed like Richardson was a late first-round pick at best.
But, at this point, there is no chance he is going to fall that far.
Richardson seems like a sure thing to be selected in the top 10.
That means we will most likely have four top-10 quarterbacks picked.
The others are Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, and Will Levis.
For Richardson, it will be interesting to see how high his stock goes.
He has all the traits you look for in a franchise quarterback but none of the college production.
In his last season at Florida, Richardson only completed 53.8% of his passes.
Also, he threw 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 12 games.
But, it is rare to see a 6’4″ 236-pound quarterback with the power and speed of Richardson.
According to NFL Insider Benjamin Allbright, Richardson has set himself up to be a top 8 pick.

The NFL Draft is set up to be a doozy this year.
It is anyone’s guess where these top quarterbacks will end up.
But, it will be fun to watch.
