The Las Vegas Raiders should look a lot differently in 2023 than they did this year.

Although there will be some turnover with all of their position groups, the quarterback will be the most drastic change.

Derek Carr has been the Raiders’ quarterback since he was drafted in 2014.

However, Carr has been officially released from the team, meaning that the team will need to find someone else to fill the position.

Up to this point, there have been a few veterans that have been named as potential fill-ins.

Late last week, however, another surprising name emerged.

Is Mac Jones a potential trade target for the Raiders?

Jones was drafted with the 15th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots.

While he was once seen as the successor to Tom Brady, many within the organization have expressed their concerns with Jones moving forward.

However, Josh McDaniels, the head coach of the Raiders, spent time with Jones when he was on the Patriots coaching staff.

If there is any possibility that Jones will be traded, the Raiders appear to be the most reasonable trade target.

For Jones, a change of scenery could prove to be effective, especially when leaving a team like the Patriots.

Being a member of the Patriots has been said to be incredibly stressful, especially under coach Bill Belichick’s leadership.

The team expects a lot from its players, which isn’t necessarily something that every athlete can handle.

Will the Raiders take a chance on Jones ahead of his third NFL season?
