NFL Insider Reveals 5 Teams That Will Not Pursue Lamar Jackson

Quarterback Lamar Jackson will be remaining with the Baltimore Ravens as they placed their non-exclusive franchise tag on him.

However, this move gives him the liberty to freely negotiate a new deal with any team he wants, while also giving the Ravens the right to match any deal he agrees to from another team.

There are a number of franchises that need a high-level quarterback right now, but according to NFL insider Field Yates, there are at least five specific teams that are reportedly not interested in Jackson.

Teams that reportedly will *not* be pursuing a deal for Lamar Jackson include:

Falcons
Dolphins
Panthers
Commanders
Raiders

The Atlanta Falcons have wide receiver Drake London, who was one of the better rookies this past season, as well as two good running backs in Cordarrelle Patterson and Tyler Allgeier, but QB Marcus Mariota didn’t quite work out, as he was benched late in the season.

The Miami Dolphins made the playoffs in 2022 for only the third time since 2001, but while QB Tua Tagovailoa showed great strides, he also suffered multiple concussions, and many are concerned about his long-term health and safety.

Yet, it seems both sides are continuing to move forward normally, at least for now.

The Carolina Panthers and Washington Commanders have some young talent on offense, but they need a reliable QB.

The Las Vegas Raiders still have star wide receiver Davante Adams, as well as star running back Josh Jacobs (at least for now), but they released Derek Carr, who is now joining the New Orleans Saints.

It remains to be seen if any NFL team is willing to offer Jackson the type of huge guaranteed contract he has been demanding for many months now.
