The Chicago Bears are the one team to watch in this upcoming NFL draft.

What they decide to do with the first overall pick, will send shockwaves through the league.

They are in an interesting position where they have a good quarterback in Justin Fields and might not want to draft one.

That means plenty of teams will be looking to trade up into their spot to select a star quarterback.

If Chicago does agree to trade down, they will be looking to draft one of the star defensive players.

That is Georgia’s Jalen Carter or Alabama’s Will Anderson.

Both are consensus top five players in the class and will be true difference makers for any defense.

Moving back to acquire more picks, and still being able to get a defensive star seems like the best move.

According to NFL insider Benjamin Allbright, he thinks the Bears could trade back twice and draft Will Anderson.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Bears moved down twice and still got Will Anderson https://t.co/2yUcmGWS0Y

The NFL is more fun when there is intrigue at the top.

This year is certainly full of that.

Chicago has more holes on their roster than just one defensive player.

So moving back as many times as possible to accumulate picks is a smart plan.

Anderson is seen as the top edge rusher in the class, and he could be a double-digit sack player for many years.

Also, this draft class has plenty of depth at many key spots.

The Bears could draft Anderson, and still find another starting-caliber wide receiver later on.

Expect the Bears to be very active in trying to trade the number one pick over the next month.
