Aaron Rodgers’ 2023 status has been one of the top stories of the NFL offseason.
While many have speculated that Rodgers will still return to the Green Bay Packers, recent reporting has indicated otherwise.
Members of the New York Jets front office recently flew out to California to meet with him, in hopes of adding him to their roster.
If this move does occur, Keyshawn Johnson commented that “He’d be the best quarterback to ever play in New York.”

He’s not good. And certainly wouldn’t beat Buffalo and Josh Allen.

A bold claim, considering that Joe Namath played for the Jets, leading them to a Super Bowl victory in 1968-69.
However, as Johnson proclaims, a Super Bowl victory in New York could further cement Rodgers’ legacy.
Rodgers is the Packers’ all-time leader in passing touchdowns and has the ninth-most passing yards in NFL history.
He will likely be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, even if he never plays another down in the NFL.
Many have claimed that Rodgers is one of the best passers in NFL history.
Rodgers’ impact on the Packers cannot be understated, and he will forever be a legend with that franchise.
However, the Jets have the longest active playoff drought.
Adding a player of Rodgers’ caliber could not only end their playoff woes, but it could also bring hope to the organization and its fanbase.
The AFC is loaded with superstar quarterbacks, such as Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, and Josh Allen.
Without one of their own, the Jets are likely destined to continue their playoff drought.
